The one research-based input. A Dutch supervisor-training study (Schaap et al., 2024) found about 18 fewer days per leave; the default sits lower because that’s a single study in another system. Slide it to a number you can defend.
The cost is just your own arithmetic, shown in the open: leaves per year × average leave length × cost per working day. We use one day’s salary as a conservative stand-in for the daily cost — your real cost is higher once you add benefit coverage, lost output, and backfill.
The only research-based input is the days saved through better return-to-work support. It’s adjustable, and it defaults below the published figure on purpose. We don’t publish an ROI ratio: this is an evidence-informed estimate, not a promise, and the underlying framework is still being validated.
